Continuous Flow

Within the pharmaceutical industry, Continuous Flow Manufacturing (CFM) is becoming an alternative to traditional batch chemistry. While it cannot be used on all reactions, there are some reactions that can be considered. Some key advantages of CFM include (a) faster and safer reactions that are typically more environmentally friendly, (b) a smaller footprint, (c) a potentially higher quality product and/or a higher process yield, (d) provide the possibility to perform difficult chemistries that is difficult or impossible to do in batch mode, and many others.

Flamma has a team that is working towards implementing CFM under cGMP to provide an viable alternative for customers to consider. Our team believes that the right process utilizing a Quality by Design (QbD) can provide an improved process that is economically beneficial when compared to a batch process.
